  • DO GOALIES NEED TO WEAR SOCKS WITH THEIR ICE SKATES?

    Some ice hockey goalies like to go barefoot in their ice skates. However, going barefoot can make your skates smell more from the extra moisture and leave your feet more prone to blisters and hot spots. 

     

    We always recommend wearing specially designed skate socks for maximum comfort. Skate socks are seamless to avoid any discomfort and offer a whole host of features depending on which sock you opt for: moisture wicking, reinforcements in key pressure areas, or anti-cut properties for added protection.

  • WHAT GOALIE SOCKS SHOULD I WEAR FOR ICE HOCKEY?

    If you prefer compression shorts under your leg pads, go for a thin sock — make sure your ice hockey skate is baked for a better fit around your foot and less chance of blisters or pressure points. 

     

    If warmth is an issue while you’re in the crease, kitting up in a pair of socks over your knee pads can help keep you warm and reduce the interference of your knee pads on your leg pads.
