  • SHOULD I WEAR A VISOR TO PLAY HOCKEY?

    If you’re born after 1975, visors are now mandatory. All players under 18 are also required to wear complete face protection in the form of either a full-face shield or a cage. 

     

    Visors provide excellent eye and nose protection but leave the jaw, cheekbones and teeth exposed to rogue sticks, skates and pucks.     Entry-level player helmets usually cost between £70 and £100. Mid-level hockey player helmets are anywhere between £100 and £170, with advanced helmets starting from £170 up to around £395.
