Then, Now and The Future...

Whilst we were forced to close our store due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, The Willies Ice Hockey Emporium Team took the not so quiet ‘downtime’ to continue developing the business and improve our store.

When we opened the store back in 2018 we didn’t want to just become another small shop with very little stock (This is not an insult to those stores BTW, we fully support anyone servicing the Ice/ Inline Hockey community – It just isn’t what we set out to do)

We had big goals to turn the shop in to a must visit destination for Ice and Inline Hockey Players across the country. An ‘Arena Team’ of Ice Hockey Shops if you like.

Through the support of amazing customers, suppliers and hardworking team we have come a long way since opening our doors. The usual trials and tribulations of starting a business, some very painful experiences with websites and till systems that did not work for us and so on

but as the saying goes ‘What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger’…

In March we launched our new website – This is very much still a work in progress, but it gets better by the day with more product, more functionality and content being added all the time.

Our FREE membership scheme has gone digital and will link all in store and online purchases in your easy to use online account.

In store we have freshened up, giving everywhere a lick of paint, added more shelving, mannequins and custom-built stick racks (for display of up to 440 sticks).

We have added more signage - more graphics and more memorabilia for shoppers to browse

We will continue to work as hard as we can to improve our offering to customers and look forward to getting back into the swing of things now we are re-open.

Now the million dollar question… When will the rinks re-open…? Unfortunately we do not have the answer but we are here waiting for when they do and have all the off ice training equipment for the meantime.
